Enter Into his Courts

You know the story of Queen Esther. No one came before the king without being invited. But Esther risked her life and went to the king to plead for the Jewish people.

The Bible says, “When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter.” The king showed mercy. He said, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request?”

I think that may be a picture of the way we approach God in prayer. God is far greater than that pagan king. Who are we to come to Him with our small problems?

But the King has chosen us. He loves us. He wants us to come because He fulfills His plans through the prayers of His people.

God’s more glorious than any earthly king, but He wants you to come before Him in prayer. If you come to Him in the righteousness of Christ, He’ll extend His golden scepter and let you approach.
