Remade and Resurrected

...so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it...

There's a world that is waking up, a world that was created and filled with magnificent beauties and intricate designs that were fashioned to fill our hearts with wonder and joy at the magnitude of the love and mercy of God. Our eyes have been opened to this beauty through the salvation that has freed us from death, yet we overlook it. We get drug into the "drudgery" of our daily tasks, and don't notice the details in the handprints we clean off of the windows, or the softness of the peanut-butter-smeared faces that have to be washed. We miss the beautiful colors of simple things like eggs, wheat, dirt, and grass, and the way that the sunlight reflects in a clean glass of water or the songs that are in the wind if you just stop and listen...

Every single day the Creator is reshaping this world. New lives are created, old lives are ended and all of it is completely and entirely due to the mercy and beauty of our God. Every single day we have the oppourtunity to let Him continue that pattern in our own hearts. He has promised new grace and new mercy with each new moment, if you accept it. He can give new vision, new dreams, new life to anyone who will open thier hearts and behold the beauty of the Lord! He doesn't want your walk with Him to be a drudgery. He didn't design our hearts to be satisfied with the same thing over and over and over again. He filled the world with variety and change to feed our eager minds, and in the same way He will fill our hearts with new and different and living songs and messages that He orchestrates for each of us individually.

Open your eyes to the seeable, touchable beauties all around you, and open your hearts to the hearable, feelable beauties that Christ *wants* you to experieince. Ask Him to make His word new when you read, ask Him to make your heart beautiful, ask Him to make you more like Him, and let Him make you into something new...
